"...and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard!

Because THAT goal, will
serve to measure the BEST, and one we intend to win.

And we will do it all before this decade is out."

Randy Magnuson

is a retired professional instructor in the US nuclear industry.  His credits include a BS in Nuclear Engineering, with studies in physics, mathematics, astrophysics, economics, political science, and music performance.  As with many of his generation, he lived through and was influenced greatly by the Space Race, and watched man land on the moon on live TV as a teenager.  It was high octane fuel to an already strong interest in science, space, and anything that flew.

He is also a licensed FAA commercial and instrument rated pilot, and held the accomplishment of a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License (23 years) from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commision, commanding commercial electric generating nuclear stations in Illinois and Georgia for 31 years.  This included teaching reactor operations to candidates, which involves conducting and evaluating intense simulator training very similar to that received by astronauts. He is certified as a team builder by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO).

His total professional operational experience of 35 years includes several other nuclear power plants as a consultant.  He has also navigated the US eastern seaboard as a sea captain, including the Carribbean, and also was awarded international first place in an amateur organ performance competition in 2005.

He is proficient in basic astrophotography, configuring digital organ MIDI and sound systems using the world standard Hauptwerk platform, and rebuilding / restoring / regulating / voicing theatre pipe organs.  Computer skills include Windows, Apple, and Linux operating systems.

He is available to configure / install the Hauptwerk digital pipe organ system on site, or to build to your specification, and also can advise and assist on telescope and astrophotography selection and systems.
